The rules are simple...there's a hat, this hat is filled with many questions ranging from the personal to the off beat.  We pass the hat, and artists gets a chance to answer the question they choose from said hat.  Fun is had by all.

Starting out by releasing a new song every month for a whole year, Bruno Major compiled a beautiful piece of work with A Song For Every Moon.  All that's grown to an extensive tour, Summer festival slots, and opening for the one and only Sam Smith.   We caught Bruno before his show in Philly for the latest Chat in a Hat.

Without further ado, here's our Chat in the Hat with Bruno Major:

Chat in a Hat: Bruno Major

What is your best party trick?

I can lick my elbow.  It’s meant to be humanly impossible.

The apocalypse is tomorrow, what’s the last thing you would do?

This is really lame, but I just want to hang out with all my friends and family, the people I love the most.  I have loads of things I want to do though.  And eat some really nice food.

What is your recording and writing process like?

It’s different every time.  Writing sometimes takes a long time, sometimes it takes 20 mins depending on the song.  Recording, I usually just record in my bedroom.  I did most of my album in my bedroom and some of it with my friend in his shed.   So it’s not particularly very high budget but that’s the way I like it.

You’re granted a once in a lifetime chance to travel to space.  You’re allowed to take one item and one person.  Who and what would they be?

This is literally my life goal.  More than music, my goal is to go into space and experience zero gravity and look back at the planet from which I came.  If I were allowed to bring one item and one person, I’d take my brother and the item would a super soaker.  With zero gravity and super soaker it could be really fun.  Plus it would be really handy if you get separated and you’re floating through space cause you could use it to fire yourself in a direction.

If you could create one holiday what would it be for and what would you call it?

I would create a Bring Your Pet To Work Day.  It would be every day.

What is your favourite song on your record / EP?

The favourite song on my record is “On Our Own”.  It describes my beliefs about life and religion and in the span of a three minute song.  So I’m really proud of that one.

What was the first record you ever bought?

It was The Offspring, Conspiracy of One.  The blue one with the flaming skull on the front.  I just really liked that band.  I was an emo / punk kid.
